No-yeast bagels
The Corona pandemic has imposed a new situation on all of us. The severe shortage in flour and in yeast has forced me to go back to old recipes I had that included either little or no yeast at all.
These bagels is one example. They come out of the oven crunchy and smell so good.
- 1 c. all-purpose flour 
- 1 flat tsp. Baking powder 
- 1 c. yogurt 
- ½ tsp. salt 
- 1/2 tsp. sugar. 
- toppings: sesame seeds / zaatar / poppy seeds 
- Mix the ingredients. 
- Divide the dough into 4 or more for mini bagels. 
- Roll each piece into a long rope and form a round bagel. 
- Dip in water and then dip in any topping you like: sesame seeds, zaatar, poppy seeds, everything but bagel seasoning. 
- Bake (380°) for 30 minutes.
